This website has been set up to help support preparation and review of the Working Paper on the Human Future.
The working paper considers ways in which concerns regarding economic justice, ecological integrity and technological responsibility might develop and bear upon one another over the coming century and beyond.
These concerns together serve as a portal through which additional concerns involving governance, politics, society, culture and more are addressed.
The key document now posted here is the Working Paper Expanded Outline, including Discussion Notes and Attachments.
The working paper is multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary. It considers national, regional and global scenarios along time horizons of 100-200 years and longer. This ambitious scope and scale is necessary if we want to honestly understand in a useful way the real challenges facing the human community.
Although new material is being added on a regular basis, many topics will remain treated only superficially and many others not treated at all. My hope is that those working for a truly and fully human future might nonetheless find in this working paper something of value.
